Project Overview
The strategic objective for this initiative was to redesign the SIU Medicine websites. The goal was to make it  easier for users to find the information they’re looking for, while creating a system that is easy for SIU Medicine to maintain. 
Solution
Working collaboratively with SIU Medicine, we defined the organization’s goals for their website and discovered their target users’ needs. We determined the site would be more successful by providing each of the disparate user types an easier path in and journey to the information most important to them.

It was also determined that the site needed to be easily managed by content editors and departments as well as providing a more modern and engaging user interface.
The success of this solution was improving the way the site’s section and contents were organized (information architecture) and updating the site’s navigation and menus. SIU Medicine’s existing sites migrated into Drupal 8 and a new design system was put in place, efficiently moving existing content into a new and engaging user interface that can be quickly scaled across the .edu and .org sites while vastly improving the mobile-friendliness of the sites.
